L'Arlésienne

"Dum dum dum, dadum dadum daduum, da da da dadadada, da da dadadada, dum dum dum, dadum dadum dadum, dum dum dum dum dum!" Quatre nodded his head to the music. It was so pleasant, and lively, and . . . and ominous.
"Oh, this is rather dark, isn't it. Oh well."
"Oi! Neko!" Quatre started.
"Oh, hello, Duo."
"Hey. Whatcha listnen' to?"
Quatre sighed. "A piece I'm hoping to be able to play. It's by a guy named something that sounds like busy. Oh - Bizet."
"Yeah, whatever."
"No, he was pretty cool. As I recall, he wrote some opera as well. Very nice stuff."
"Dead?"
"For centuries."
"Oh."
"Yeah."
"Sounds cool."
"Yeah."
"Should I shut up now?"
"Whatever you want, Duo."
"I want to know about the music."
"That's a first."
"It sounds like it'd be good for battle."
"Music - stereo systems in the Gundams?"
"Why not?" Duo shrugged. "We've got everything else in there."
"What about the kitchen sink?"
"Huh?"
"Everything but the kitchen sink?" Duo's blank stare told Quatre that his joke had gone unnoticed. He sighed and shook his head. "Never mind."
"Sure, I can do that, o High Musicness."
"Duo!"
"What? Just jerkin' your chain, man."
"I'm well aware of that, but . . ." A beeping cut through the silence.
"Mine!" Duo vaulted to his laptop and flipped it open. "Mission accepted." He sighed. "I'll be back in a few days, Q-man."
"Where?"
"Oz base in Sienna. They need a sneak. Like me. 'Cause -"
"Getting in unnoticed is your specialty. I know. See you later."
The music continued.
P.S. - L'Arlésienne is actually some music suites or something like that by Bizet. We like Bizet. Bizet also wrote "Carmen" and a lot of other stuff. We had to play part of Suite Four in orchestra. It sounded so cool . . .
